Elmer A Zeleny

Elmer A. Zeleny age 62 of Geneva passed away Thursday December 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 23, 1950 in Berwyn, Illinois the son of Elmer and Colleen (Rooney) Zeleny.

Elmer worked many years as a plumber for Mendel Plumbing and Dorr Plumbing and was a union plumber for Local 501. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Constellation. He also was a longtime member of the St. Charles VFW Post 5036. He loved to cook and had cooked for many years at the Kane County Flea Market. He also enjoyed camping. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his longtime companion Ann Campbell-Rea; Two sons Sean and Matthew both of Geneva and daughter Victoria; brother Kevin (Sandy) Sunday of Geneva.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral service will be held Monday December 31, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Malone Funeral Home 324 E. State St. (Rt. 38) Geneva with Rev. Allen Eaton officiating.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.

Visitation will be held Sunday December 30 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home Geneva.
