PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Basic services of the funeral director and staff include, but are not limited to: 24-hour availability of staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice; and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also included are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping and secretarial and administrative expenses. The special services of filing or assisting with insurance, union, social security, veterans or other burial claims or benefits that may be applicable as well as notary public services are part of the standard package.

EMBALMING

Except in special cases, embalming is not required by law. However, embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial

Dressing, casketing and cosmetic restoration or general preparation and surface disinfection or identification of unembalmed deceased

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

These options include: use of visitation room, visitation setup, placement of encased remains, parking lot assistance, the staff services required to monitor visitation periods, assist at any ceremonies, direct guests, handle and place floral arrangements, memorial and mass cards, coffee service and other various services, as well as the use of necessary funeral home facilities and equipment.

FUNERAL/MEMORIAL SERVICES

Services for coordinating and conducting ceremonies, staff to attend the service, supervision of the committal at cemetery or other disposition service and the use of necessary funeral home facilities and equipment.

Service at, or originating at funeral home on day after visitation

Service at other facility

Memorial service at funeral home

Memorial service at other facility

Service at, or originating at funeral home, without visitation or short visitation on same day (2 hours or less)

Service at, or originating at funeral home, same night as visitation

Service at other facility (church) same day visitation

GRAVESIDE SERVICES ONLY

Our services include the funeral arrangement at the cemetery, supervision and staff necessary to conduct services originating at the graveside

FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME

This includes transfer of remains to funeral home or airport, embalming, basic services of funeral director and staff and use of facilities for these services. This charge does not include viewing, ceremony, merchandise or shipping charges or other preparations

RECEIVING REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME

Our charge for this service includes transfer of remains to funeral home, temporary shelter of the remains, basic services of funeral director and staff and transfer of remains to cemetery or crematory. This does not include viewing, ceremony, graveside service or merchandise

DIRECT CREMATION

Direct cremation includes removal of remains, temporary shelter of remains, local transportation to crematory, necessary authorizations and basic services of the staff. This charge does not include the crematory fee or the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials. The containers we provide are made from cardboard.

IMMEDIATE BURIAL

Immediate burial includes removal of remains, temporary shelter of remains, local transportation to the cemetery, necessary authorizations and basic services of staff. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.
