Richard A. Cameron, DDS, age 79, of Geneva, formerly of Palatine, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Arden Courts in Geneva surrounded by his family.
He was born August 12, 1933 in Evanston, Illinois son of Charles and Ruth (Styck) Cameron.
Richard served his country in the US Navy as a dentist having graduated from Northwestern University Dental School. Following that, Richard joined his father in his dental practice in Park Ridge where he practiced for over 30 years. After retiring, Richard also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Valdine. He found great enjoyment watching the Chicago Bears and playing golf having been a "Second Generation" member of Medinah Country Club. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed.
Richard is survived by his son Carl (Jennifer) of Geneva; granddaughters Courtney, Erin and Megan; and sister Muriel (Ed) Troutt of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife Valdine (Clare), his parents and his sister Joy Jones.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 11:00 am at Medinah Country Club, 6N001 Medinah Road, in Medinah with Pastor Tom Hutchison officiating.
Burial will be held privately.
