William C. "Bill" Awe

William C. “Bill” Awe, age 74, of St. Charles, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home in St. Charles surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 22, 1945 in Genoa, Illinois the son of Delbert and Helen (Meyers) Awe.

Bill started life in the farming community of Genoa, Illinois.  After graduating from NIU, Bill served two years as a U.S. Marine.  Returning to civilian life, he started a career in the insurance industry.  His professional life let him combine his love of farming with insurance.  After retirement he focused on farming and family.  Family being very helpful as farm workers.  His greatest pastime was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years Deborah (O’Shea); children Bridget (Luis Garcia) Palrang of Franklin, Terrence (Sarah) of Lake In The Hills, and Meggan (Adam) Knod of Geneva; grandchildren Madelyn (Scott) Bohne; Jocelyn (Adira) & Simone (Jack) Awe; Zachary Palrang; Xavier, Wyatt, & Amelia Awe; great-grandchild Charlotte Bohne; Siblings Janet Dunning of Michigan and Fred (Cheryl) of Texas; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gloria and Thomas.

A visitation for Bill will be held Monday August 24, 2020 from 9:00 am until the time of funeral prayers at 10:15 am proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, Illinois 60134 for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund, Celebrant.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Peter Catholic Church Food Pantry, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, Illinois 60134.
