Willa D. “Dean” Schultz, age 86, of Geneva, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 17, 1939, in Sage, Arkansas, the daughter of David E. and Della G. (Hall) Farthing.
Dean was an exceptional cook, avid reader, and had a deep appreciation for a good cup of coffee. She loved and lead her family with strength and grace. She will be remembered by all for being genuinely welcoming, inclusive, intelligent, honest, and profoundly loving of her family and friends.
Dean is survived by her children David (Lauri) Schultz of Duvall, WA and Dena (John) Bonnike of Geneva, IL; 3 grandchildren Lana, Liam and Layla Bonnike of whom she was so proud; her beloved brother, RT Farthing (Cathy), nephews (Scott, BJ, and Wayne), a niece (Lisa), many extended family members, and her dog, Prim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Jean, and her husband of 67 years, Bill.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Dean’s home. Contact Dena at denabonnike@hotmail.com for further details.
