Victoria Cardenas Valenzuela

Victoria Cardenas Valenzuela, age 94, of Geneva, passed away at Bright Oaks in Aurora, IL, Friday, February 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

 She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was born November 17, 1928, in Valtierrilla GTO, Mexico, the daughter of Nicolas Cardenas and Catalina Razo. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years Jose Valenzuela, her parents Nicolas Cardenas and Catalina Razo, her sisters Rafaela, Justina, Ernestina and brothers Isidro, Amador and Enrique Cardenas. 

She is survived by her son Joe of Batavia, grandchildren Brittney, Gabrielle and great granddaughter Mia, sister Susana Martinez, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many friends. 

Victoria “Vicky” entered this world on November 17, 1928.  She was a homemaker who loved gardening and planting flowers, cooking, (she loved making homemade tortillas, and sharing them with loved ones), She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed spending time with her large extended family, her granddaughters Brittney and Gabrielle, and her great granddaughter Mia.

Victoria will be greatly missed by her loving family and always remembered in their hearts.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Malone Funeral Home in Geneva at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a liturgical wake service at 7:45 pm.  

Funeral Prayers will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 9:30am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva, proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30am with Father John McFadden Celebrant.  Click this link to livestream the funeral mass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEGkJXlMHvY

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
