Thomas G. “Tim” Korzen, age 71, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born May 8, 1950, in Chicago, the son of George and Helen (Thon) Korzen.
Tim worked for and became owner of a heavy timber construction company in Chicago for over 50 years. He enjoyed anything to do with cars, especially Shelby Cobras and participated in racing events throughout the country. He was also a founding member of Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia (Wrzesinski), sons George of Chicago and Michael (Maggie) of Lombard; nephew William Liddell; grandchildren Bethany, Jacob, and Fiona; sisters Helena and Georgianne (Christopher) Walken; and in-laws Dennis (Sylvia) Wrzesinski, Timothy (Paula) Wrzesinski, Alane Kleinschmidt, Marsha OBrien, Shirl Wrzesinski and Laura Wrzesinski; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings George Jr., John, and Paul.
Funeral Prayers for Tim will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Gall Catholic Church, 43W885 Hughes Road, Elburn for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Randy Fronek Celebrant.
Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 19 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, 2 Prospect Hill Rd., Stockbridge, MA, 01262 would be appreciated.
