Thomas B. “Tom” McGrath, age 66, of Milwaukee, WI, formerly of Geneva, IL, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, with his loving wife by his side.
He was born March 14, 1955, in Chicago, the son of John Chester “Chet” and Katherine (Breen) McGrath.
Tom McGrath was a gregarious, loud dressing, humorous, kind, warm-hearted, encouraging, proud Irish-American. Rarely did one walk away from a conversation with Tommy without a smile on their face. He was a family man in every sense of the word, and if you were lucky enough to become his friend, you became part of his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years Donna (Lang) McGrath, daughter Meaghan (Tim) Groome, son Sean McGrath, and father John Chester “Chet” McGrath. He is brother to Jane Ann McGrath (deceased), Johnny (Angie) McGrath, Michael (deceased), Patrick (Jane) McGrath, Marie (Frank) Cimaglia, and Jim (Elizabeth) McGrath. Brother-in-law to Veronica (John) Irish, Harold (Fay) Lang, Patricia (Wayne) Pfennig, Regina Wade, and Christopher (Kirsten) Lang. He was the fun-loving Uncle Tommy to Michael, Chase, Jeff, Matthew, Rachel, Kirsten, Cully, John, Katie, Jillian, Molly (deceased), Kevin, Joe, Patrick, Jimmy, Kevin, Andrew, Madeline, Mark, Jay, Spencer, Julia, Kylie, and Mackenzie. No family party will ever be the same.
Tom was preceded in death by his late mother Katherine (Breen).
A visitation for Tommy will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of his funeral prayers at 10:45 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:30 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund, celebrant.
