Obituary

Steven (Steve) Bell, age 74, of Geneva, passed away peacefully Monday, May 22, 2023 at the University of Chicago Hospital.

He was born October 22, 1948, in Chicago, the son of Herman Bell and Ida (Schultz) Bell Henry.

Steve was creative and loved the arts. He specialized in color theory at the Art Institute of Chicago, which he used in his career as a print color specialist. He also enjoyed making stained glass, jewelry, wine, watercolor, and playing the guitar and bass guitar. He enjoyed jam sessions with friends and family, and even played a few local shows.

Steve enjoyed camping with his family, particularly at Peninsula State Park, Kohler-Andrae, Indiana Dunes, and Warren Dunes.

Steve is survived by his adored wife of 40 years, Vicky Davidson-Bell; his children Talitha Haag (Bart), Tory Fisher (Danny), and Rachael Davidson-Bell; and his grandchildren Duncan, Dominic, and Gemma.

His family will celebrate his life at a later date at Montrose Harbor, one of his favorite childhood spots.

In lieu of flowers, please support a local artist, take an art class, or listen to The Beatles.

Arrangements handled by Malone Funeral Home in Geneva.  For information 630-232-8233 or www.malonefh.com.
