Shirley Stallman

Shirley F. Stallman age 92 of Geneva, formerly of Glendale, AZ and Batavia, IL passed away Friday August 9, 2019 with family by her side at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

She was born October 2, 1926 in Elgin, Il. the daughter of Ezra and Francis (Kroff) Forrester.

She is survived by her children Jim (Judy) Stallman of St. Charles and Gary (Terri) Stallman of Hinckley; grandchildren Dana (Sean) Harkleroad of Geneva, Keith (Kathryn) Boudart of Arlington Hts. , Angie (Matthew) Osborne of Wasco, Christopher Stallman, Taylor (Robin) Stallman of Chicago, Molly Stallman of Hinckley; Jordan (Elizabeth) Stallman of South Carolina; great-grandchildren Caitlin, Emma, Isabelle, Claire, Fallon, Kane, Cecelia, Katrina, Ryder, Zoe, Penelope, Charlotte and Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Don Forrester; daughter Kathy Ohman and her husband Richard in 2001.

As a young adult, Shirley was a telephone operator.  She then became a secretary for Houghton Mifflin in Batavia, and later as a legal secretary in St. Charles, Il.  Shirley enjoyed traveling, reading and playing cards. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family. 

Visitation will be held Friday August 16, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Road Geneva with Father Charles Warren Celebrant.

Private interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. 

In lieu of flowers memorials to Catholic Relief Services would be appreciated.
