Shelly L. (Dossett) Buch

Shelly L. Buch, age 50, of St. Charles, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 in Geneva.

She was born June 21, 1975, in Springfield, the daughter of George Dossett and Muriel Carlson.

Shelly was passionate about photography in her early years which led to her profession as a district manager at Olan Mills Portrait Studio where she preserved cherished memories for countless families. Later in life she devoted herself to her family, becoming a stay-at-home mom. Shelly enjoyed staying active, spending time outdoors, and especially enjoyed sunny days relaxing by the water with her family. Her interests included biking, rollerskating, and bowling. She was an avid animal lover from walking dogs to swimming with dolphins. Lastly, she was a rock and roll girl down to her soul.

Shelly is survived by her three Children, Erica (Joseph) Rice, Jesse (Eric P) Dossett-Buch, and Leah Buch; siblings, Lisa (Kevin) Norris, James (Kendra) Dossett and Timothy Dossett, her mother Muriel Carlson, as well as many other dear relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father George Dossett, Grandfathers Harry “Bud” Carlson Jr., Blair “Richard” Ragan,Grandmother Lillian “Rose” Ragan, cousin Brittney Carlson, and Aunt Vicki Pae.

A visitation for Shelly will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family and funeral home would be appreciated.
