Sharon Brazill

Sharon Rita Brazill, age 81, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024, in Missouri.

Born on July 31, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, Sharon was the cherished daughter of James and Audrey (Hoffman) Reinsmidt. She was a proud graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis.

Sharon's professional career was marked by her role as a marketing director at Arden Courts in Geneva, Illinois, where she worked from July 2000 until her retirement in January 2014. Her dedication to her community was evident through her long-term service as a Geneva Township Trustee. Sharon's tireless efforts at the Geneva Township Senior Center showcased her commitment to enhancing the lives of local seniors. Sharon embodied the Senior Center’s mission, “Live Life to the Fullest,” through her unwavering dedication and service.

Sharon was known for her warm heart and her exceptional ability to create unforgettable family gatherings. She was the beloved matriarch who hosted Thanksgiving every year, crafting the most memorable Thanksgiving dinners that her family cherished. Sharon was also a devoted and enthusiastic soccer mom to her sons, James and John, embodying the spirit of a "soccer mom" long before the term was coined. Her generosity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Patrick; her children, James (Kathie) of St. Charles, Missouri, and John (Donna) of Geneva Illinois; brother James (Patricia) Reinsmidt, her adored grandchildren, Patrick, Ashley, Alexandria, McKenzie Tegeler, Kylie, and Cameron Brazill, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, James Conrad and Audrey Reinsmidt and her daughter, Susan (DJ) Tegeler.

Funeral Prayers will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 9:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva, proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, for the Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Father John McFadden as celebrant. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, with a liturgical wake service at 7:45 pm.
