Sally J. Carlson

Sally J. Carlson, age 58, of Batavia, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born May 7, 1963, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara (Williams) Downer.

Sally was a cherished wife and mother who lavished love on everyone she encountered. She always had a smile on her face and was quick to selflessly help other people. Up until her last days she continued to say that she was able to love other people because of Christ’s love for her.

Sally is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Greg; children Lauren Carlson of Batavia and Ryan Carlson of Batavia; brother Taylor (Amy) of Elburn; and mother Barbara Downer of Batavia; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father Ken Downer….

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Crossway Chapel, 115 Oak St, North Aurora, IL 60542.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Crossway Chapel at 10:00 am with Rev. Glen Morden officiating. 

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Wayside Cross Ministries, 215 E New York St, Aurora, IL 60505.
