Ruth W. Taylor

Ruth W. Taylor, age 66, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at River Crossings in St. Charles, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 3, 1957, in Jamaica, the daughter of Herbert and Winnifred Taylor.

Ruth attended school in Brooklyn, New York. Upon moving to Illinois, she worked for First Card and was a Teacher Assistant for many years with School District U-46, Elgin. Ruth was a devoted member of her church. 

Ruth is survived by her son Kahwon (Allison) of Geneva; grandchildren Brooklyn, Kevin, Kaci, Kahwon Jr, and Cole; siblings Leonard, Danny (Susan), Victor (Deslyn), Barrington, Merlene, and Phyllis (Femi) Folarin; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Keith and Auvril, (Sheila).

Services for Ruth will be held privately.
