Ruth Powell

Ruth Powell, age 99 of Sycamore, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Bria of Geneva with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 26, 1922, in Ranger, Texas, the daugher of William and Bertie Garland.

She is survived by her son Garland (Kristie) of Sycamore; grandson Ross of Newton, KS; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Wayne and James; granddaughter Vickie, and her husband Alvin who passed away in 2006.  Alvin and Ruth were married 65 years.

A visitation for Ruth will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 9:00 until the time of her funeral serivce at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva, IL.

A Celebration of Life and Burial will be held at the Wichita Park Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
