Robert Lloyd Hilligoss II, age 82, of Geneva, IL passed away Friday, February 17th, 2023, at Michealsen Health Center in Batavia with his loving family by his side.
He was born on July 5, 1940, in Anderson, Indiana to Robert and Evelyn (Armstrong) Hilligoss.
Robert attended Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana. He later went on to study at Purdue University and Harper College. He worked at various companies over the years. CTS Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, Middlebury Realty, Rock-Ola, Kemper Insurance and Allstate Insurance.
Robert was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge in South Bend, Indiana. As well as a Mizpah Shriner in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and member of the Moose Lodge in St. Charles. In 2021 and 2022 Robert received two awards for fifty years as a Shriner. He was a member and chaplain of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity while at Purdue University. He loved passing his time working on model railroads, fishing, and discussing politics. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his devoted wife Constance; Stepchildren Jennifer (Dominic Sr.) Deluca of Geneva and Matthew Medina of St. Charles; Grandchildren Dominic II and Adrianna Deluca, Matthew Medina II; Sister Valissa Hilligoss of Geneva; Cousins Linda (Patrick) Manderson and Lou Ann Quinn of Anderson, Indiana; and many more relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Rafael Medina.
Services will be held privately.
