Robert G. Schaefges

Robert G Schaefges age 65 of Aurora IL, formerly of Geneva, passed away peacefully on Monday November 18, 2024, at his apartment in Aurora.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus and enjoyed helping them out when he could, from the spaghetti dinners to the pancake breakfasts. He is always ready to help others. Bob was a person who liked to do stuff and go places, like going to the zoo with Mom or going to the parade or going to the county fair. He was born October 11, 1959, and went to school in Geneva. He loved it in June when Swedish days came around in Geneva and always wanted to pitch in. He Enjoyed all the holidays and always decorated his place for them. While at his retirement/rehab center He loved playing Bingo and other games they had there with the other patients. He was struggling for a while with some issues but was truly happy when he moved out back into his own place to be independent.

 Robert is survived by his sister Patricia Townsend and brothers Tom, Bill, and Andy Schaefges; niece Tiffany Berry of Belvedere, Illinois; dear friend Mike Karpen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Catherine.

 He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.

A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 9:00 until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 at 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
