Robert “Bruce” Benstein age, 82, of West Dundee, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 9, 1943, in Elgin, the son of George and Theresa (Keller) Benstein.
Bruce worked for thirty years for the State of Illinois as a Conservation Police Officer. He loved wildlife and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest enjoyment in life however was spending time with family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Linda (Stegall); children Molly Benstein and Julie (Roger) Isham of South Elgin; grandchildren Taylor, Austin, and EmmaLi Isham and Trevor and Parker VandenBerg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Heather VandenBerg, and grandchildren Andrew and Grace Isham.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38) Geneva.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 20 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva with Pastor Rob Hamilton officiating.
Private burial will be held at Garfield Cemetery in Campton Township.
