Robert A. "Bob" Hooser

Robert A. "Bob" Hooser Jr, age 63, of St. Charles, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born April 4, 1958, in Hinsdale, Illinois, the son of Robert and Donna (Jobelius) Hooser. 

Bob lived life to the fullest, working hard and playing hard.  He loved going to family dance parties, bowling, playing volleyball, rock concerts, Old Style beer, and was a huge Bears and Blackhawks fan.  Bob was drawn to nature, photographing wildlife, hiking, boating, fishing, and finding waterfalls.  He planned and helped build two beautiful homes, one in Eagle River, Wisconsin and the other here in St. Charles.  Bob's travels took him to national parks, the coastlines of Florida and California, and the Caribbean.  He was a wonderful provider to his family.  Bob successfully invested in the stock market, and being an entrepreneur, he built his own tree service business and the company Praxis which manufactured stump grinders and blades.  He set goals, had dreams and worked hard to make them all come true.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 35 wonderful years Patricia “Patti” (Cline); daughter Nichole of St. Charles; granddaughter Ivy; siblings Steve Hooser, Dawn Hooser, Mari Plett, and Todd Plett; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Bob will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 2:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 4:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Tunnels for Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
