Richard E. “Rick” Kish, age 56, of Batavia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 23, 1964 in Chicago, the son of Richard Sr. and Mary (Hirsch) Kish.
Rick graduated from Northern Illinois University. He worked in the Health Care Industry as well as for the Geneva School District. He was an avid Cubs fan. However his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his children, family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his two children Jake of California and Izzy (Liz) of North Aurora; mother Mary Hirsch of St. Charles; siblings Carolyn (Rudy) Viereckl of Batavia, Karen (Craig) Maladra of Geneva, and Peggy Kish of Batavia; nieces and nephews Ashlei (Marc) Mosher, RJ Viereckl, and Jacob and David (Brittany) Maladra; and many other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38) Geneva. Due to restrictions surrounding social distancing, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask and/or wait if occupancy standards need to be met before entering.
Interment will be held privately.
