Richard M. Bavaro, age 69, of Batavia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 29, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He was born December 29, 1952, in Chicago, the son of Michael and Margaret (Carrao) Bavaro.
Rich was honored to be a veteran who served his country in the United States Navy.
He proudly owned his own business, TRB Painting & Decorating for over 3 decades. He liked playing poker and riding his motorcycle in his free time. Rich and his wife enjoyed traveling and especially cruises. Rich had a kind nature for animals, particularly his pets and any that they fostered. His greatest love of all was spending time with his family and friends. Anyone who really knew him, loved him. He will be dearly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Terri (Slove); children Tricia, Danny, Michael (D’Ann), Kristen (Ben), Richie (Nadina); 11 grandchildren Carolanne, Michael, Stella, Charlie, Jacob, Emma, Cadon, Alison, Alivia, Blake, and Gianna; brothers Michael (Ellen) and Patrick (Maria); and many other dear nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Ellen Maucieri.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Malone Funeral Home 324 E State Street (Rt 38), Geneva, Illinois 60134 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 10:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Father Jared Twenty officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums in Des Plaines, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, any donations made to the family will be distributed to Rich’s favorite charities.
