Rhoda J. (Sennello) Pacuicrk

Rhoda J. Pacuicrk, age 74 of Geneva, formerly of Virginia, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020.

She was born February 6, 1946 in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Jordan) Sennello. 

Rhoda graduated from Mother McAuley High School, Chicago, IL in 1964.  Following the completion of her under graduate study on psychology and graduate work in special education at the University of Illinois in Urban-Champaign she worked for the State of Illinois Department of Mental Health to provide counseling  and general assistance to emotionally disturbed adolescents. 

Rhoda served her country as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy in Puerto Rico in Navel Communications and later as an administrative officer with the U.S. Navy, Underwater Demolition Team, Navel Amphibious Base out of Norfolk, Virginia.  She later worked as a psychologist in the United States Army. 

She enjoyed doing volunteer work with Hospice in Newport News, Virginia.  In her free time Rhoda enjoyed reading, travel, and needlepoint.

Rhoda was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Anne “Katie” Liokis of New Orleans; grandchildren Emmeline and Theodore Liokis; sister Jane (Alan) Gazdziak; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Joseph and Douglas Sennello.

A memorial mass for Rhoda will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva.  

Burial will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
