Raymond George Kessler, age 94, died peacefully at home in St. Charles, Illinois, surrounded by family.
Married for 72 years to his beloved wife Rose, who survives him.
Following God's admonition to "be fruitful and multiply", Ray's legacy includes 13 children, 40 grandchildren, and 22 (and counting) great grandchildren.
Ray was a proud Navy veteran who served in the Pacific aboard the USS Mt. McKinley, witnessing the US atomic bomb tests.
A graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, Ray was a Dreamer of Big Dreams: Engineer, Draftsman, Farmer, Salesman, Energy Company Executive, Antique Trader, Vintage Clock Repairman, Flea Market Field General, Master Re-User of Everyday Stuff.
In addition to Rose, Ray is survived by 13 loving children: Gregory (Jane), Marcus (Evryl), Patrick (Marian), Rosemary, Timothy (Patricia), Peter (Jeannine), Susan (George), Paul, Michael (Molly), Philip (Susanne), Madeline (David), Mary, and John.
A visitation for Raymond will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of his funeral prayers at 10:15 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva proceeding to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Msgr. Daniel Deutsch, Celebrant.
Burial will follow at Prairie Cemetery in St. Charles.
