Phyllis "Lena" Louise Rion

Phyllis “Lena” Louise Rion, age 81, of Streamwood, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 5, 2024.

She was born March 29, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Volgarino) Testa.

Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, cooking, reading, and feeding and watching the wildlife around her home.

She is survived by her children Debbie (Don) Russo of Elgin, Donald Rion of Rockford, and Deana (Nick) Grumbos of Glen Ellyn; son-in-law Frank Neeley of Marengo; grandchildren Katie (Nick) Russo Delmuro, Joseph Russo, Donnie Rion, Rachel Rion, Jenna Rion, Ronnie (Hannah) Neeley, Summer Neeley, and Daniel Grumbos; great grandchildren Alina, Nolan, Dominick, and Baker; and sister Marlene Green.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Donald Rion, parents Louis and Mary Testa, her daughter Dawn Neeley, and her daughter-in-law Jill Rion.

Visitation for Phyllis will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (RT 38), Geneva.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Malone Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Memorial Washington Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in Elgin.
