Phyllis D. Klein, age 92, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at River Crossing of St. Charles with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 16, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Genevive (Eck) Whelan.
Phyllis worked as the senior coordinator for the Geneva Park District and was a Chaplain for many years. She loved tennis and enjoyed sharing and teaching her passion for art to those around her. However, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Nicholas; children Claudia (William) Karl of St. Charles, Allison (Brad) Kozloski of Geneva, Jeff (Mary) Klein of Florida; grandchildren Tim (Alison) Karl, Elizabeth (Marc) Larson, Andrea (Tom) Davies, and Sarah, Laura, and Erica Klein; great-grandchildren Lily, Rosie, Ben, Jacob, Logan, Olivia, Reese, and Finnley; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Larry Klein, and twin brother Frank Whelan.
Services and interment will be held privately.
