Phyllis "Ann" (McNatt) Horst

Phyllis Ann Horst, age 82, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Delnor Hospital.

She was born May 27, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Eugene Melton and Phyllis Ward (Johnson) McNatt. She was known by her middle name. She attended University of University of Illinois Chicago where she earned her undergraduate degree. She continued her education and received her master’s degree in social work. She was proud to be a dedicated social worker. Ann used her knowledge to help establish a school for children with special needs. She also was a photographer and enjoyed taking pictures.

Ann is survived by her loving son, Philip, of Aurora, sister Judith L. McNatt and her niece Susanna L. McNatt of Bronxville, NY, and cousins Gwen (Charles Enokian) McNatt of Iowa City, IA, Mary Helen (Robert) Gibson of Sioux City, IA and Karen Lou Shatek of West St. Paul, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 60 years, Stanley, and son Peter. 

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, 10:00 am until the time of her funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva with Father Ryan Nooraee celebrant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5AUuOJGS80

Burial will be held privately later at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Naperville.
