Michael D. "Mike" Gentile

Michael D. “Mike” Gentile, age 69, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.

He was born February 13, 1953, in Chicago, the son of Michael and Shirley (Bell) Gentile.

Mike dedicated the years of his life to his family and fostering a love of the outdoors and showing the importance of hard work to his children. He raised his children to be self-sufficient and handy, so that they would never need to rely on anyone else. He accomplished his life goals and spent his days enjoying his yard, dogs, and making others laugh with his incredible sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Rebecca (Canfield); Jennifer Schlachter, Michael Gentile, Robin Johnson, Kevin (Stefanie) Johnson, Zach (Tracie) Johnson, Molly (Liam) Johnson, and Jamie (Tristan) Hartness; grandchildren Maddie, Nathan, Haven, Collin, Nicki, Amelia, Mason, Wyatt, Tucker, and Wesley; and many other dear relatives and friends.  

A visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the time of his memorial service at 3:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will be held privately.
