Michael Sullivan

Michael “Mike” Lawrence Sullivan and sometimes affectionately called “Sully", age 73, of Englewood, Florida passed onto the Lord on October 14, 2021. 

He was born December 4, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois and is the son of Lawrence & Marie Sullivan. 

Michael was a man who truly loved the Lord and was devoted to his family and friends.  An extremely bright man who loved to tell jokes and who was successful in business.  He is known for his amazing Donald Duck impression that made his grandchildren & great-grandchildren giggle.  He obtained official Irish citizenship and will be remembered for his Irish eyes and gregarious laughter especially when watching “Young Frankenstein”.  He would often pray throughout the day and night and his favorite hymn was “Let There Be Peace On Earth”.  Some of his hobbies were reading, fishing, playing the piano, cooking, gardening, fine dining, and golf.  Michael was also known for his gift of hospitality.  He will be missed. 

He is survived by his wife Lynda Sullivan; his children Colleen (Jim) Clapper, Larry (Michelle) Sullivan, Bill (Louise) Sullivan; his 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; his sisters Gladys (John) Ebert and Dr. Margaret (Dr. Drew Meyers) Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Michael was preceded in death by his granddaughter Elizabeth, his parents, his sisters Mary and Lenore, and his brothers Terry and Thomas. 

A memorial service for Michael will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 801 Oak Street, North Aurora, with Father Max Lasrado, Celebrant. 

A private burial will be held at Prairie Cemetery in St. Charles.
