Mary E. Brunner

Mary E. Brunner age 86 of Geneva passed away Saturday June 3, 2023 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

Mary was born December 29, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Stephen and Irene (Means) Dolan

Mary was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva. She was a graduate of Marquette University and at the age of 57 graduated fron Elgin Community College with a Culinary Arts degree. 

When younger, Mary was proud of her dedication to tennis which she played diligently for many decades.

Mary played Bridge every chance she had until health issues limited her participation.  She constantly worked to accumulate Grand Master Points and  was a certified Life Master bridge competitor registered with the American Contract Bridge League.

She is survived by her three children Michael (Corrine) of Healdsburg, CA, Paul (Coleen) of Muir Beach, CA, and Suzanne (Daniel) O’Sullivan of St. Louis, MO;two grandchildren Isabella Brunner and Daniel O’Sullivan III; sisters Kathy A. (Jim) Anderson of  Greendale, WI and Jeri (Sherman) Bekkum of Westby, WI.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and her husband Frederick who passed away in 2007.

Visitation will be held Friday June 9, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Rd. Geneva, IL with Father Jonathan Bakkelund celebrant.  To livestream the mass, please click on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7xKRQBVdEQ

Interment will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd. Geneva, IL. 60134.
