Marguerite (Reilly) Stamato

Marguerite R. Stamato, age 82, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Autumn Leaves.

She was born May 12, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Baker) Reilly. Marguerite grew up in Philadelphia, PA and spent most of her adult life in the Newtown, Bucks County area before relocating to Illinois.

Marguerite was a woman of many accomplishments and was known for her dedication to family and community. Her knack for detail and sunny disposition led to a successful and award-winning career in real estate, working with prominent developers and happy homeowners.  She brought dedication and excellence to her profession.  Her civic work included posts as president of the Washington Crossing Garden Club and her community homeowners’ association. Her other passions included history, gardening, art, and cooking; rarely did anyone leave her home without feeling a bit smarter, more cultured or needing any further helpings of dessert.

But her most cherished love was for her family and those lucky to have been in her circle.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years Anthony; son Anthony (Julie) of Chicago; grandchildren Blake and Victoria; brother James (Mary) Reilly; beloved nieces and nephews; and many other dear relatives and friends.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jane Amato.

Internment and services will be held privately.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
