Margaret W. Ogden, age 96, of St. Charles, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Brighton Gardens with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 20, 1929, in Geneva, the daughter of John and May (Kronquist) Wilcox.
Margaret lived a long, wonderful life in Geneva, devoted to her family and friends, her work, community, and church. Margaret was a strong, godly woman of deep faith, and a loving role model for all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children Jill (Charles) McCauley of Marshfield WI, Joy (Michael) Abts of Geneva, Merle Lynn) of Geneva, and Jane (George) Miser of Fuquay-Varina, NC; grandchildren Jeremy (Trisha) McCauley, Joel (Laura) McCauley, Jessica (Blake) Barron, Charles (Casey) McCauley, Margaret Bastian, Anna Poettker, Michael (Jamie) Abts, Merle (Megan) Ogden Jr, Irene Broughan, Melissa Ogden (Josef Buchel), Madeline Ogden, Jack (Ilena) Ogden, Jared Miser, and Molly Hudson; 28 great grandchildren; brother John Wilcox; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Joan Lake, son John, and her devoted husband Merle "Jerry" who passed away in 1980.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 9:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Rev. Rob Hamilton.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva, Illinois 60134 or the Geneva Township Senior Center, 400 Wheeler Drive, Geneva, Illinois 60134 would be appreciated.
