Loring Monroe Stevenson, age 95, of Geneva, formerly of Harvey, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was born July 6, 1927, in Harvey, the son of Dr. George, and Inez (Thompson).
Loring was a naval aviator at the end of World War II. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and worked for many years in public relations for Montgomery Ward. However, his true vocation was acting in television, film, and - most prominently - on stage.
Loring is survived by his children Charlie Dempster, David Stevenson, Rob (Leslie) Stevenson, Joel Stevenson, Teri (Greg) Mayes, Tina (Richard) Otte, Anna (Tony) Dawson, and Mary (Randy) Cornwell; grandchildren Elecia Clark, Rebekah Wood, Jason Mayes, Joshua Otte, David Otte, Eli Landry, Tommy Stevenson, Joey Stevenson, Casey Thiel, Taylor Thiel, Samantha Buchholz, Abby Buchholz, and Henry Buchholz; seventeen great grandchildren; and his sister Penny Oathout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob, son Tyler Landry, and his wife MaryAnn.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
