Leonard T. Noga

Leonard T. Noga, age 84, of Geneva, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with Marianne, his wife of 64 years by his side.

He was born March 7, 1940 in Chicago, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Baldyga) Noga.

Leonard was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago.  His family were members of St. Camillus parish.  He attended St Camillus grade school and graduated from Kelly HS.  Leonard met his wife Marianne when they were both only 16 years old. They  married in 1960. 

Leonard was a man devoted to his faith and family. Leonard always put others first, and always saw the best in people.  Leonard and Marianne were members of St Richard parish where they raised their two children and where Leonard was very actively involved in parish life.

In 1989 they moved to Geneva Illinois and joined St. Peter parish where they volunteered in the Food Pantry.

Leonard worked his entire career at Walgreens working his way up to Warehouse and Distribution Logistics Manager. After 45 years with the company, Leonard retired in 2002.

Leonard enjoyed sports and was an avid White Sox, Bears and Blackhawk fan. He was also a fan of any team on which his children and grandchildren played. Leonard enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s music recitals and plays. He also enjoyed travel. But most of all Leonard enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Leonard is survived by his wife Marianne (Kopulos); two children Denise (Michael) Slattery of Geneva and Jeffrey (Mary) Noga of Naperville; four grandchildren Allison (Fiancee Spencer) and Benjamin Slattery and Madeline and Nicholas Noga; and brother Joseph (Delia) Noga.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers Frank and Robert Noga.

Funeral prayers will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father John McFadden Celebrant.  

Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.

Visitation will held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm with a Liturgical Service at 7:45 pm at Malone Funeral Home.
