Larry E. Collier

Larry E. Collier, age 84, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 1, 1941, in Martinsville, Indiana, the son of Lester and Dorothy (Rutan) Collier

Larry was a loving family man who adored the love of his life, his wife and soulmate, Sue. They loved to stroll down the beaches of Charleston, South Carolina, playing with their granddaughter, Mia, chatting on their deck with friends in the summer and being kind and loving friends/neighbors. He cherished his time with his daughter, Laura, and son, Alex. Larry was a wonderfully thoughtful and gentle man who would drop everything to help a family member, play with Mia, or find some slow and reflective time working in the yard or playing golf. He loved animals, and all dogs played such a loving role in his life. Larry was a wise thinker who would give your problems and concerns all of his attention and sensitivity. He will be missed greatly.

He is survived by children Laura of Geneva and Alex (Demaree) of Geneva; granddaughter Mia; sister Lana Myers of Martinsville; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara “Sue” Collier.

A visitation for Larry will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of his memorial service at 1:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owpiu2teXgU
