Kielan Michael Nesbitt

       Kielan Michael Nesbitt (Kiel) of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was 38 years old.

   Kiel graduated from St. Anne’s-Belfield School, Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2003. He graduated, and received a BA from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois, in 2007, where he studied History. While at Lake Forest College, he studied abroad at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, with a focus on Māori history.  Kiel obtained an advanced degree in Audio Arts & Acoustics at Columbia College in Chicago. He was passionate about music and shared his knowledge on his radio station, THE STREAM. Kiel loved to travel. He spent many happy trips in the Colorado Rockies, Greece, and New Zealand. He also enjoyed an epic adventure in East Africa, on safari with his grandparents.

     Beloved son of Theresa and Mark Nesbitt. Kiel is survived by his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Agnes M. Heisley and Lenora Nesbitt; aunts and uncles Barbara & Chris Rogers, Carol & Michael Heisley, Emily & Kevin Stoeckel, Judy & Leland Bishop, Clay Nesbitt, Carla Nesbitt Ruth, and Tim & Melissa Nesbitt; and his adoring cousins Alec, Mary, Joey, Annabelle, Annaka, Olivia, Britta, Declan, Emma, Libby, Daisy, Kelly, Chris, Jeff, Jennifer, Liam, Katie, and Maggie.

     Kiel was passionate about his family, music, movies, and his beloved animals. He will be remembered by all his family and many friends with love…and a smile
