Kathleen T. “Kaye” Koubek, age 82, of Geneva, formerly of Hometown, Illinois and Florida, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at her home in Geneva with her loving family by her side.
She was born November 9, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Ella (Cahill) Fahy.
Kaye graduated from Moraine Valley School of Nursing in Palos Park. She worked as an RN at Michael Reese Hospital and was the director of the Dialysis Center in Tampa Florida for many years. She loved reading and her cat Kiera, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children Sharon (Nicholas) Tzakis of Carol Stream, Cindi (Alex) Reyes of Geneva, Michele (James) Doyle of California, and Richard (Jamie) Corlett of Bolingbrook; grandchildren Alexander (Lindsey) Tzakis, Stacy (John) Domeier, Sarah (Jade) Sherwin, Thomas, Armando, Justin (Megan) Ariel, and Jason Reyes, Eric, Nathan, Stephanie (Tad), Brianna (Katie), Jace, and Jameson Doyle, Richard and Christine Corlett, and Anthony Koubek; twelve great grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Thomas and his wife Marie Fahy, William Fahy, and Shirley Phiefer; and her devoted husband Antonin who passed away in 2007.
Visitation will be held privately
Burial will be held at a later date at Grace Memorial Gardens in Florida.
