Kari Wells

Kari Wells, age 79, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away at home on Saturday, December 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on July 9, 1944, in Moss, Norway.  Kari was the beloved daughter of Finn and Ninni Arnesen. 

Kari’s warm presence will be deeply missed by those touched by her kindness. Her commitment to others was exemplified through her volunteer service of over 18 years at Rush Copley. She contributed her time and energy to various volunteer roles, her favorite being a part of the Fox Valley Pet Therapy Club. At a recent awards ceremony, Kari was described as a light in every room she entered. Whether by a shared laugh, smile, or a story, she would find a way to brighten your day. 

Kari is survived by her husband of over 40 years Jerome; children Mark (Linda) Wells of Plainfield, Illinois and Kim (Rob) Perkins of Geneva, Illinois; sisters Astrid (Oddbjorn) Falkensten of Norway and Rose (Henry) Long of Earlville, Illinois; along with numerous grandkids, nieces, and nephews; beloved dogs Gully, Tank, and Freia; as well as many other dear relatives and friends. 

A celebration of Kari’s life will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Eagle Brook Country Club, 2288 Fargo Boulevard, Geneva, Illinois 60134. Join us as we honor and remember the legacy of a truly wonderful individual. Kari’s favorite colors were black, white and BLING if you could wear something to honor her memory, we know she’d love it.
