June L. (Stryzinski) Crowley

June L. Crowley, age 92, of Geneva, formerly of Des Plaines, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with her loving family by her side.

She was born June 1, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Angela (Tylczynski) Stryzinski.

June was the first in her family of 7 children to graduate High School which she accomplished by working to earn her tuition at Notre Dame High School. June enjoyed horseback riding, dancing, and bowling. She married the late Robert R. Crowley in 1953.  They raised their family in Des Plaines.  June worked as an Executive Secretary and cooked amazing meals for her family.

After she retired June enjoyed the senior center events including: day trips, square dancing and seeing plays. She also took the time to travel.  Some of her adventures included travelling with her beloved niece, Nancy Stryzinski, to England, Scotland, Wales and Italy.  She also enjoyed domestic trips with her daughters to the California coast, Galena, Las Vegas, and her favorite getaway, Door County, Wisconsin.

She is survived by her daughters Janice (Rainer) Beyer of Geneva and Diane (Daniel) Devine of Lombard; six grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Dianne, Jennifer, Carrie, and Dan; nine great-grandchildren Neenah, Amber, Ashley, Nicole, Monet, Vivian, Sophia, Jackson, and Dailen; six great-great grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Walter, Edward, Chester, Andrew, Dorothy, and Angela; and her devoted husband Robert who passed away in 1989.

Visitation for June will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 5:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with Father Charles Warren officiant. 

Private burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, Illinois 60134 or to Northern Illinois Food Bank, 273 Dearborn Court, Geneva, Illinois 60134 would be appreciated.
