Judith Kathryn Miller

Judith Kathryn “Judi” Miller, age 61, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 15, 1962, in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Wanda (Millman) Schneider.

Judith (Judi) grew up in Rock Island, Illinois and attended Alleman Catholic School High School.  She graduated from Marycrest College with a degree in elementary education. She taught for a few years and later worked as a paraprofessional after having her two children. Judi loved soaking up the sunshine on warm sunny days. Her cats were her dearest companions. Judi loved caring for things whether it was plants, animals, or the students she guided. In her spare time she could be found watching NASCAR, Days of Our Lives, or enjoying a live concert. Music brought her peace, especially the music of Jack Johnson.  Judi enjoyed the little things in life: good coffee, lemon blueberry loaf, a well-timed joke, and candy, which she always had on hand.

She is survived by her children Kathyrn Miller of Milan, Illinois and Benjamin Miller of Post Falls, Idaho; siblings Jeffrey (Sharon) Schneider of Geneseo and Darcia (Kevin) Carberry of Geneva; and many more family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Douglas Schneider. 

A Celebration of Life, to take place in the Quad Cities, will be announced.
