Joseph T. "Joe" Slowiak, age 83, of Batavia, passed away Sunday, September 18,
2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 22, 1938, in Chicago, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Norkus) Slowiak.
He was a longtime member of St. Peters Church, member of the Oregon Lions Club, had many hobbies and interests including biking, gardening, travel with his wife and friends, and woodworking.
He is survived by his devoted wife Patricia "Pat" (Burton); children Susan (Wayne) Walton of Virginia, Karen (John) Otis of Palatine, Joseph of Elgin, (fiance Samantha) Emily (Cindy Arnold) Slowiak of Chicago; grandchildren Joshua, Benjamin, and Timothy Walton, Alex (Jeff) Kelly, Hannah fiancé Anthony) Otis, Avalyn Slowiak, and Maxwell Slowiak; Pat's children John (Amy) Regole of Geneva and Kathy (Joe) Rissman of Hinckley; Pat's grandchildren Anna Regole, Ryan and Adam (Tara) Prevost; Pat's great grandchildren Rory and Ryla Prevost; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Somers, and his first wife Irene (Dolan) who passed away in 1989, and Pat's children Terry and Sharon Regole.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of funeral prayers at 10:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund celebrant.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Geneva.
Memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, IN 38105 would be appreciated.
