Jose A. Medina, age 50, of Yorkville, passed away Friday, February 6th at Rush Copley in Aurora surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 17, 1975, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Pedro A. and Rosaura (Duron) Medina.
Jose also known lovingly as Tony and “Rabit” was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend leaving a legacy of kindness, love, and connection. Jose was a kind and generous soul whose greatest joy was helping others and being there for the people he loved. Jose had a way of making everyone feel heard and valued. Whether through his great sense of humor, his warm presence, or simply taking time to listen, he made people feel important. He was the kind of person who showed up—without hesitation and without expecting anything in return.
Jose worked at Grundfos as a Senior Sales Engineer where he was well liked and respected for his hard work and camaraderie.
He loved life’s simple and joyful pleasures: watching and playing soccer with a passion his whole life, spending time on the golf course, discovering good food and enjoyed listening to dance music. Most of all, Jose deeply loved his son, his family, and his friends, who were the center of his world.
Jose’s kindness, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
Jose is survived by his wife of Lorena; children Jose A. Jr. of Yorkville; mother Rosaura (Duron) Medina; sister Zuleika (Justin) of Aurora; niece Maia Jade Arreola; and many more relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Pedro A. Medina and daughter Bianca Medina.
