Joe Frega

Joe G. Frega, age 71, of Warrenville, formerly of Geneva, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.

He was born March 12, 1949 in Cleveland, Tennessee, the son of Earl and Elizabeth “Betty” (Catenacci) Frega.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for the Geneva Police Department for 30 years.  Joe loved bowling, fishing, and golfing.  However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children Jason (Kai) of Round Lake Park and Jenna Hall of DeKalb; grandsons Bastian and baby Raiden; siblings Karen (Brad) Kinne of Colorado; and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 37 years Ramona who passed away in 2015.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 1:00 until the time of his Memorial Service at 4:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
