Joan S. Lockett

Joan S. Lockett, age 90, of Geneva, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 8, 1934, in Litchfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys Davis Sweetin.

Joan loved to be creative in many ways. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and baker. She gardened and loved to read as well.  She was happiest when she was surrounded by her large family.

Joan is survived by sister Linda; children Charlie of Geneva, Michael (girlfriend Mariana) of Geneva, Becky (John) Pederson of Geneva, Julie (James) Chavez of Arkansas, Missy (John) Kissane of Geneva, and Shelley (Robert) Prosser of Geneva; grandchildren Joel (Tammy) Lockett, Jonathan (Olivia) Lockett, Michael (former spouse Ellen, fiancee Carrie) Lockett Jr, Shannon (Justin) Manny, Ashley (James) Michaels, Nick (Cara) Pedersen, James (Leila) Chavez Jr, Joseph Chavez, Lexi (Emily) Kissane, Hailey (Nick) Eodice, Bryce Kissane, and Madelyn Prosser; great grandchildren Ephran, Brianna, Jeremy, Liam, Fiona, Finn, James, Lacey, Madison, Clayton, Harrison, Jace, Kinley, Avery, Grace, and Rylie; and great great grandchildren Jacob, Jackson, and Emilia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Doris and Judy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 11 at 11:00 am at Malone Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
