Jeanette M. Jackson Obituary

Jeanette M. Jackson, age 88, of St. Charles, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Brighton Gardens.

She was born October 23, 1937, in Chicago, the daughter of Jay and Lillian Englehart.

Jeanette enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a manicurist for more than 35 years. She was an avid golfer who loved spending time on the course and cherished the many friendships she made throughout her life. She was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and the Silver Foxes.  Jeanette especially enjoyed gathering with family and friends and treasured every opportunity to be in their company.

She is survived by her daughters Annette Christiansen of Geneva, Lori (Ed) Altepeter of Geneva; son-in-law Gary Netzley; grandchildren Jason Christiansen, Anthony (Daisy Alvarado) Harrison, Jennifer Jackson, and Matt Netzley; great grandchildren Aubrie Christiansen, Hallie Thomas, Tre Oshel, and Van and Zig Harrison; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings Harriet Cox and Joe Englehart, her daughter Deborah who passed away in 2019, and her devoted husband John who passed away in 2011.

A visitation for Jeanette will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia with Father John McFadden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, would be appreciated.
