Jeanette G. Wibben, age 90, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Geneva Nursing and Rehab.
She was born February 10, 1930 in Brookings, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Pearl (Pearson) Lynn.
Jeanette was a security officer and most recently worked for AT&T. She was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Geneva. She was active with the American Legion and volunteered her time as a leader with both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Jeanette loved her family deeply and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sons Dale of Chicago, James (Diann) of North Aurora, and Gerald (Mary) of Geneva; grandchildren Mitchell, Mike, Cindy, and David Wibben, Dennis Hood, Jamie Brown, and Genevieve Marbutt; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters-in-law Irene Wibben and Lois Fystro; many nieces and nephews; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Lynn, daughter Sandra Ackerman, and her husband Mervin who passed away in 1993.
Burial will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at noon at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia. Due to current health care restrictions involving Covid- 19 and social distancing, the cemetery is limited to a gathering of 50 people at a time, standards of occupancy will be upheld. To attend please be prepared to wear a mask.
