Janis Ann Graffagna

Janis Ann Graffagna, age 67, of La Fox, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with her loving family by her side.

She was born January 29, 1956, in Geneva, the daughter of Leslie and Melba (Jensen) Hodge.

Janis had many titles; sister, wife, mom, aunt, grandma, and friend. Each title was held dearly by her. Janis was known for the immense love she gave to everyone. Spending time with family and friends brought her the greatest joy. Another joy was the family’s cabin in Hayward, WI. Numerous memories have been made over the years with family and friends at the cabin. There are many people that will be saddened at the loss of such a kindhearted person. Janis would particularly not want others to be sad for long, though. She'd rather you sing, dance, and live life to the fullest in her honor.

She is survived by her loving husband Jeff of 44 years; children Mallory (Shawn) Barrows of Geneva, Jaclyn Graffagna (Eric Norberg) of Wisconsin, and Jay (Abbey) Graffagna of Wisconsin; grandchildren Liam and Sawyer; her beloved dog Scout; as well as her siblings Gerald (Lisa) Hodge, Gregg (Nancy) Hodge, and Sandy (Robert) Wagner; and many other dear relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Visitation will start at 4:00 pm with the Celebration of Life starting at 7:30 pm.
