James T. Haughan, age 18, of Geneva, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with his loving family by his side.
Jim was a sweet, loving boy with a big heart who was always placing others needs above his own. He graduated from Geneva High School in May of 2020 and had been a Scout in Packs 111/238 & Troop 37. Jim gave the best bear hugs and could light up a room with his smile and laughter. He aspired to be a voice actor, already having many accents and voices in his repertoire. Jim was registered at Waubonsee to pursue a degree in Mass Communications & he planned to continue his education at Columbia in Chicago. He was an avid video gamer and loved to spend time with his friends.
He is survived by his mother Elaine of Geneva; siblings Melissa (Matthew) Gaige of Hoffman Estates and Monica and Matthew both of Geneva; paternal grandmother Joyce of Riverside; maternal grandmother Carol Carter of Oak Park; and many other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Robert, maternal grandfather Don Carter, and his father Michael who passed away in 2019.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with a Rosary recited at 7:45 pm.
Funeral Prayers will be held Saturday, June 12 at 9:30 am at Malone Funeral Home proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Father Jonathan Bakkelund, Celebrant.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Geneva High School Theatre Boosters, 416 McKinley Avenue, Geneva, Illinois 60134 would be appreciated.
