James F. "Jim" Motsch

We are sad to announce the passing of James F. “Jim” Motsch, age 84, of Geneva.  He passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Delnor Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 3, 1938, in Chicago, the son of Peter and Mary (Noonan) Motsch.

Jim graduated in 1955 from St. Philip High School in Chicago.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956 – 1958 in Korea, he was in Company B 728 MP Battalion.

He was the beloved husband of Angela (Favia) for 62 wonderful years; loving father of Andrea (David) Heeg, James (Lori), and Nick (Lori); special papa of Ali, Kathryn, David, Andrew, Jimmy, Anthony, Ryan, and Dylan; and loving brother of Patricia Steiner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Theresa.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of his funeral prayers at 10:30 am at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to St. Peters Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3BZ94s0Zus

Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Geneva.
