James F. "Jim" Corngold

James F. “Jimmy” Corngold, age 78, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 12, 1944, in Chicago, the son of Joseph and Lenore (Cappetta) Corngold.

Jimmy was a one of a kind.  He was dedicated to his family.  He was happiest when spending time with his grandchilidren.  He loved to share his wisdom with them (Much to his children's horror).  He enjoyed grilling for friends and family.  Jimmy was a quiet man, but had large impact on those closest to him.  His presence will be missed by those that knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Virginia (Mulcahy); children Rachel (Scott)Thomas of Pennsylvania and James (Angela) of Geneva; grandchildren Hunter and Emma Thomas and Caitlin, Megan, and Liam Corngold; great granddaughter Ella; and many other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jack Glatz and Edith Morgan.

Services for Jim will be held privately.
