“Izzy” Isabelle L. Fisher, age 99, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Geneva, Illinois, passed away on August 8, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
She was born January 17, 1924, in Bluford, Illinois. The daughter of Mary Florence McConnaughay and James Marcus McConnaughay.
She was referred to as “Izzy” when she worked at Burgess Norton. Izzy drove during a period that spanned through World War II into the mid 70’s. With three children, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “GaGa”. Her husband Red, former fire chief and sign painter of Geneva and her son Kenneth Fisher, Jr., relocated to Lake Worth, Florida after his retirement. Her daughter Sharon Wisniowski, formerly owned Party Setters in Geneva, Illinois and then relocated to Florida. Son-in-law Danny Dimmick, Geneva, IL.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon D. Wisniowski of Boynton Beach, Florida and her son Kenneth J. Fisher, Jr. and his wife Rita of Okeechobee, Florida. Her brother Paul McConnaughay and his wife Lois McConnaughay, of Lake Worth, Florida. Sister-in-law Rosemary McConnaughay of Elburn, Illinois. Grandchildren Brandi Dimmick and Shane Dimmick of Geneva, Illinois, Kenneth Fisher III and his wife Tina, Christopher Fisher and his wife Dana of Florida, and Jorden Fisher and his wife Sarah of Forest City, NC. Step grandchildren Amanda and Chris Warnick of Florida, Ian and Kasey Hager of Florida, and Alicia and Fred Simmions of SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, her sister, her daughter Linda Dimmick of Geneva, and her son-in-law Thad Wisniowski of Lake Worth, Florida.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11am at West Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, Ilinois., immediately following we will have a luncheon at Gen Hoe Restaurant in Geneva.
